Karate Kid: Legends
After a family tragedy, kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) is uprooted from his home in Beijing and forced to move to New York City, with his mother, to attend a prestigious new school. Li finds solace in a new friendship with a classmate and her father. But his newfound peace is shattered after he attracts unwanted attention from a formidable local karate champion. Driven by a desire to defend himself, Li embarks on a journey to enter the ultimate karate competition. Guided by the wisdom of his kung fu teacher, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), and the legendary Karate Kid, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li merges their unique styles to prepare for an epic martial arts showdown.
Karate Kid: Legends will be helmed by Jonathan Entwistle, a young, up and coming filmmaker who is making his directorial debut with the Karate Kid: Legends. The movie will star Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, who will be reprising their roles as Mr. Han and Daniel-San from the previous movies. The movie will also feature newcomer Ben Wang as their new student, Li Fong, who will be learning about the noble art of entwining both kung fu and karate from these wise masters and Sadie Stanley who will portray Li’s pretty love interest, Mia, Ming-Na Wen as Li’s mother and Joshua Jackson as Victor.
